Taylor
Taylor Swift has become a rare pop phenomenon: A star who strayed completely from the world of country music to pop culture, becoming the pop icon of the future that will endure forever, and sweeping over everywhere. Swift shed country like it was an additional layer of herself, proving that she is perhaps the best pop-singer/songwriter in her generation. One who can harness the zeitgeist to make it personal as well as sing in the other direction. Swift's early songs, including her neo tribute to Tim McGraw, showed off the talents of her. The album from 2008 Fearless showcased a writer who was discovering herself and was able to draw a wide audience. The album was a huge success, not just in the United States, having six platinum-certified songs. In fact, the Top Ten songs Love Story & You Belong with Me were the primary reasons behind this. But, it also did well all over the world. Swift could build on her popularity with Speak Now almost two year following. With her subsequent three albums, Red (2012) 1989 (2004) and Reputation (2017), her popularity increased and she became part of a music scene where it was clear that she belonged. While she reduced her production with folklore, and Evermore albums in the year 2020, she was still at the forefront of pop music.
