Lucy Liu is an American actor, voice actress, director producer, and singer. A beautiful and smart actor, she is an inspiration to numerous Asian actors who wish to become famous in Hollywood. An early string of success performances in popular TV series made her famous for joining the cast in Ally McBeal, where she was Ling Woo. After her popularity, she was offered important roles in Shanghai Noon (1998) and Charlie's Angels (2000). The film Kill Bill Volume 1, Quentin Tarantino, she gave an outstanding performance as Japanese crime boss O-Ren Ishii. At the same time, she also starred in box-office flops like Rise: Blood Hunter. In animated films like Kung Fu Panda, Tinker Bell and many others, she voiced characters with prominent voices. Mia Mason's small-screen role on Cashmere Mafia did not produce anything of note. Southland's critically acclaimed police series, Southland and a recurring role helped Liu re-establish her status as a well-known actor. Liu chooses her roles carefully to prevent being stereotyped in a field which is extremely competitive. While she's been embracing the roots of her family, she hasn't let them restrict her artistic abilities.
