Zoe Saldana was born on June 19, 1978, in Passaic, New Jersey, to Asalia Nazario and Aridio Saldana. Her father is Dominican while her mother is Puerto Rican. She was born in Queens. In 2010, she relocated along with her family to Dominican Republic where they spent the next 7 years. Zoe's interest in dance was piqued while they lived in the Dominican Republic.
